In my work I stand for developing strategic solutions to complex questions. With experience in policy development, stakeholder management and advocacy, I've led projects in which collaboration and outcomes were central.

This portfolio is an overview of projects and themes I've worked on. From strategic campaigns and policy advice to legal questions and communication — every project combines analysis, creativity and focused execution.

International · Foundation (ANBI)

Recreational Cannabis Foundation — International Cannabis Regulation

The Recreational Cannabis Foundation (RCF) is a Dutch ANBI (Public Benefit Organisation) foundation with an international mission: to contribute to the development of European and global legislation for recreational cannabis. Drawing on the proven knowledge of the Dutch model, RCF connects policymakers, scientists, and entrepreneurs worldwide — including through the Union of Cannabis Retailers (UCR) platform.

Advocacy

Closed Coffeeshop Chain Experiment

Gathering practical signals and escalating them to administrative and political levels — while simultaneously working on a structural framework for the period after 2029/2030.

Policy & advocacy

Legalisation of the coffeeshop supply chain

Working towards a comprehensive regulatory framework for the entire coffeeshop supply chain — including regulatory sessions with municipalities and ministries, and modernisation of the toleration policy (stock levels, AHOJG criteria). Preparing for the period after the Experiment Gesloten Coffeeshopketen (Experiment into a Closed Coffeeshop Supply Chain) (2029/2030).

Advocacy

Coffeeshops & Payment Services (Worldline)

Ongoing dossier regarding access to payment services for coffeeshops — from the unilateral termination of debit card contracts by Worldline and the preliminary relief proceedings to the appeal, the Flach amendment on basic payment accounts, and discussions with banks and the Betaalvereniging (Dutch Payments Association).

Scarce permits for coffeeshops

Preventing scarce permits from becoming the standard instrument — through legal correction, concrete alternatives for municipalities, and sector-wide cooperation.

Research · Methodology

Calculation Model for Maximum Number of Coffeeshops

An objective and reproducible calculation model to substantiate the maximum number of coffeeshops per municipality — based on demand, catchment area, and standard productivity, instead of historically developed rules of thumb.

Social domain · Initiative

MijnOndersteuning.nl — Wmo & social domain

MijnOndersteuning.nl helps residents navigate the Wet maatschappelijke ondersteuning (Wmo) (Social Support Act) and related regulations — accessibly, understandably and independently.

Advocacy

Amsterdam i-criterion

The i-criterion was not implemented in Amsterdam's 2026 coalition agreement. Years of legal, political and public efforts — including research by Ipsos I&O, formal intervention in civil proceedings and cooperation with Wallen (Red Light District) entrepreneurs — made a substantial contribution to this.
