Central information source about the Experiment with a Closed Coffeeshop Chain (Experiment Gesloten Coffeeshopketen) for municipalities, policymakers and entrepreneurs.
During my work for the Bond van Cannabis Detaillisten (BCD) (Association of Cannabis Retailers), I identified a significant gap: a central information source about the Experiment met Gesloten Coffeeshopketen (Experiment with a Closed Coffeeshop Chain). The complex legislation and regulations and the wide range of stakeholders — municipalities, policymakers, and coffeeshop entrepreneurs — made it necessary to present information clearly and accessibly. This inspired me to develop the concept for wietexperiment.com.
As initiator and project manager, I conceived and realised the entire project. I developed the idea for a central information source into a concrete concept, wrote and structured all texts — such as timelines, frequently asked questions, and updates on legislation and regulations — and coordinated the construction, design, and ongoing editorial work.
The platform now serves as a reference work for the press and policymakers and is actively used in debates about the future of the Dutch coffeeshop model.
