Strategic advice and case management
Alongside my role as chair of the Dutch Association of Cannabis Retailers (BCD), I am available on a paid basis through Het Strategiebureau for complex cases on coffee shop policy and cannabis regulation.
How I work
From scattered facts to a traceable case file
I bring together requirements, facts and interests, build a traceable case file, and coordinate the involvement of an accountant, lawyer or other specialist where needed.
Clients include entrepreneurs, trade associations, municipalities and civil-society partners. Every assignment starts with a free introductory conversation to agree on scope, timeline and approach.

Licensing and location files
Substantiation for scarce coffee shop licences, relocations and location assessments — including the methodology behind the maximum number of coffee shops.
Policy analysis for municipalities
Reviewing local coffee shop policy, the resident criterion and enforcement frameworks against day-to-day practice and national developments.
KYC and banking
Support with banking relationships, compliance questions and building transparent administration.
Case strategy and stakeholders
Managing processes with municipalities, ministries, regulators and press — from evidence base to the negotiating table.
